Call for Proposals
How do I submit my conference proposal?
Please submit your proposal through the online submission page. Do not email or mail your submission. Only proposals submitted through the FACON25 Miami submission form will be considered.
If you experience technical difficulties, please contact us at conference@fulbright.org.
I am not a Fulbrighter. May I still submit a proposal?
Yes! All are welcome to submit. However, all presenters must register for the conference. Fulbright Association members receive a discounted registration rate.
If I am accepted, will the Fulbright Association pay my travel expenses or waive my conference registration?
No. All presenters are responsible for their own travel, lodging, and registration.
If I (or my co-presenters) only intend to present at the conference, without attending other sessions, do I still need to register?
Yes. All presenters must register.
I don’t have any co-presenters. Can I submit a proposal for a session?
Yes. Individual proposals are welcome.
May I submit multiple proposals?
Yes, multiple submissions are encouraged. If multiple proposals are accepted, you may be asked to choose one due to space limitations.
How do I submit an accommodation request?
Should you need an ADA accommodation to participate in an FIU University event, program, or activity or need to request materials in an accessible format, please contact FIU’s Office of Civil Rights Compliance and Accessibility (CRCA) at 305-348-2785 or accommodations@fiu.edu. All requests for ADA accommodation or accessible materials for this event must be submitted to CRCA at least seven (7) business days prior to the event or at the earliest possible opportunity.
Registration
What are the dates and location of FACON25 in Miami, FL?
FACON25 will be held October 24–26, 2025, at Florida International University in Miami, FL.
Is there a deadline to register?
Early Bird Registration ends August 31, 2025.
Regular Registration starts September 1, 2025, and remains open until the event.
What is the refund/cancellation policy?
Cancellation requests must be emailed to conference@fulbright.org by September 30, 2025. Refunds (minus a $30 administrative fee) will be issued for requests received by that date. No refunds for no-shows.
What is included in my conference registration for FACON25 in Miami, FL?
Full-conference registration includes access to roundtable and poster sessions, the Welcome Reception, lunch at the Chapter Leadership Awards Luncheon, and beverage/snack breaks. Pre-conference workshops require separate registration and fees.
Is there a Fulbright Association member discount for registration?
Yes. Members receive a discounted rate. Visit fulbright.org for more information.
Are group rates available?
Yes. Groups of 5+ receive a 5% discount; 10+ receive a 10% discount. Registrations must be submitted together and billed on one invoice.
Do you offer student discounts?
Yes, students receive a discounted rate. Provide a valid student email address when registering.
Can I transfer my registration to someone else?
Yes. Send the substitute’s name and email to conference@fulbright.org. Additional charges may apply if transferring from a member to a nonmember.
How do I submit an accommodation request?
Requests for accommodations must be received by September 6, 2025, by emailing conference@fulbright.org.
Hotel & Travel
Where can I reserve a hotel room? What are the discounted hotel rates?
Hotel information will be available on the conference website. Attendees are encouraged to book early to secure discounted rates.
Does the conference hotel provide transportation to and from the airport?
Shuttle service availability will be noted on the conference website. Miami International Airport is the nearest airport.
How do I get more information about area attractions?
Visit www.miamiandbeaches.com for details on local attractions.
General Questions
Is the content for FACON25 in Miami, FL the same as previous conferences?
Each Fulbright Association conference offers unique content tailored to the theme and location. FACON25, themed United We Stand, will focus on sessions curated for the Miami audience.
What is the attire for the conference?
Business casual. Meeting rooms may be cool, so dress in layers. Comfortable shoes are recommended.
Is my spouse or child allowed to attend the conference?
Family members may attend the venue, but only paid registrants with badges may attend sessions/events.
How do I request a visa invitation letter?
Once registered, email conference@fulbright.org to request a visa invitation letter.
